I went to the Electrology Institute of New England for my electrolysis treatments. It is a school, so the students work on you and you can’t choose your electrologist, but they are all supervised by teachers, and the students all have hundreds of hours of experience because Massachusetts requires a LOT of hours to certify. I really liked the quality of care, and I feel like the students were open to trying different methods because it is an atmosphere of learning, so they are not stuck in a rut like some older electrologists I had consultations with. They use Apilus Senior Machines.
Best of all, they are affordable. They charged $10/half hour and $20/hour for treatment. I think it is $30 for 2 hours of treatment. These were the prices Spring of 2009. Some might say that students aren’t as fast, so the price evens out, but I found their work very quick and efficient. So until another master comes to Boston, this place in Tewksbury is the way to go!
