Mam's treatment diary

Hi everyone.

I guess everyone must have seen my name around lol!shyface.I have finally started my own topic .By this time lat year i did not have any hair on my jawline and chin and neck but when i saw two hairs(hereditary from my mum),i went off to laser every where under my chin and that was how I found my self more hairy. Ok i started my electrolysis journey on june 13th and have had 6hours of treatments on my sides, neck, chin and jawline spaced out.I go every two weeks.
I am happy i found someone who knows what she is doing. She has practised Electrolysis for 25years and now uses the Apilus Platinum but the problem is that I noticed some issues with my skin…My skin is not really sensitive but I think the problem is over treatment or maybe the needles she uses or something else(not sure)and that is why I asked about Laurier Probes in some posts. From my memory of what the display screen of the machine shows, she uses 82%,chin(thats all i can remember).
For my after treatments I use Witch Hazel(as recommended by Stoppit),Aloe vera gel from boots and sometimes rosehip oil to help with the marks.
I will post some pictures so as to get the best advice from you all the specialist in electrolysis lol!thanks alot.

Without seeing you, it is not possible to comment on what settings are appropriate, and without working on you, no way of knowing what is needed under the skin.

While skin types with more melanin can, and do have a tendency to dark spots, we also have the situation where if one does full clearances, each and every time after first clearance, one would have all spotting fade away in a small amount of time, and eventually, the ongoing work, should no longer cause spots, as there is less hair, spread farther apart from each other.

That’s the best we can do without seeing you.

Ditto to what James says. I’m sure your electrologist is already using insulated needles, and while Laurier probe can further reduce reaction you may still be prone to scabbing. Discuss your concerns with your practitioner she may be able to make some adjustments to reduce skin reaction

hey everyone,I am sorry I have been absent.I have been trying to settle in my new environment. Alright the good news about my progress(which am so sorry for not updating)is that hair growth has reducedd by 70-80% in less than 6months. The bad news is tat i have hyper pigmentation but its fading gradually.I have been trying to post pictures but it proving difficult for me.Please can anyone help me out with posting pictures.

Send me an email and include the pictures, and I can help you out.

$53,000? Well, that would be about SEVEN (back and chest) cases: done, finished and “in the bag.”

I did DIY electrolysis for 3 years before attending Hinkel’s school. What an experience (I mean the “DIY!”)

Before attending the school, I thought I knew what I was doing: BIG SHOCK! I didn’t!

OOOps, posted to the wrong thread. Let me try again.

Hey everyone,I have been down with electrolysis since June 2012.So far I have had about 13 treatments.I was unable to take picture of the hair that grew back after each treatment but i took at intervals. But the problem is that anytime i try sending photos to fellow hairtell advisers thathave volunteered,i don’t get to see them on here. Please i need to share my schedule and treatment so far.I don’t know how to go about it.

I am dealing with a funeral and all the family upheavals that come along with a death in the family. I may be able to get your pictures up sometime next week if you remind me.

Alternatively, you could upload them to photobucket, and post the links here.

I am sorry to hear of your loss, James.

Sorry for your loss James.Ok i would see if i could upload it on photobucket.but if i can’t please i will need your help.sorry once again.
