male newbie need advice

hi guys and girls, im new here and like many of you hate my hairy legs, im a male in a relationship with a lovely lady who also prefers me with hair free legs.

Ive got pale coloured skin and normal hairy legs, by normal i mean not too hairy just average for a guy, the hairs are fairly dark but not jet black. I have been thinking about laser for a while now but if im honest dont know much about it, my goal is to have hair free legs for good or at least nearly hair free fine downy hairs would be ok if they arent visible.
Is this possible?, ive contacted one clinic who advised me to get 6 sessions approx 6/8 weeks apart is this the norm? and would the results be what im looking for, also the clinic uses lynton lasers i think luminess or something like that i cant pronounce it, anyway thanks in advance for any info and please excuse my ignorrance on the subject best wishes mr t

You sound like a good candidate for laser hair removal, i don’t see any reasons why not trying.

What i would suggest is picking a place by their equipment. I think that you would look for a machine that does the job with as little pain as possible, and the only machine i know that doesn’t hurt is the Alma Lasers, Soprano XL. (maybe some here would disagree with me, that’s ok)
Alma has a site for their Soprano XL machine which has a clinic locator in it, i suggest looking for a place based on that and then see what they offer in terms of price.

You seem like a good candidate…bear in mind that there is a small risk of induced hair growth if there are fine hairs on your legs (many men have fine leg hair). That treatment plan is very typical.

I think teh FAQ’s at the top of hte laser hair removal forum will help answer some of yoru questions

thanks people for your great advice and support its good to know you guys care, i will off course keep you all uptodate on my progress best wishes mr t

Please read the FAQs (link below) BEFORE you start anything. Do proper research on machines and clinics. Make sure you’re confident in the clinic you finally select.

Finally, ONLY treat COARSE DENSE hair. That’s the only type of hair that can be affected by laser.
