Male hair density reduction - DUET or YAG?

I have skin type IV-V (Indian) and am looking for a LHR and have to choose between DUET and YAG laser. The YAG is safer for dark skins but DUET is cheaper quicker and painless. Since DUET setting will have to be toned down on darker skin would that mean I’d see less reduction/session compared to a YAG? Which one is more effective (in terms of hair permanently destroyed/session) of the two?

  1. The DUET derm is very experienced so I am not concerned about safety my only concern is with which laser will I need less sessions to achieve 50-60% reduction on my legs?

Secondly for all those who have had LHR treatments -

  1. How much reduction do you see after 1-2-3 treatment?
  2. Is the remaining hair evenly spread and look natural or is it patchy? - 6 month post last treatment(biggest concern)

Photos would be of great help,

Thanks!

With your skin tone, I’d probably only go with the Yag. Don’t think it’s worth risking using low settings on LightSheer Duet.

Please read the FAQs below to answer your first question. You’re treating hair in different phases of growth each time.

In order to avoid patchiness, the tech needs to overlap well and you should get touchups at 3 weeks for any missed hair.
