Male (28). alexandrite laser. Some advices.

Hi from Italy.
I just performed my first laser treatment (alexandrite) on my upper back. the session was quite painful and I hope to get some results. But I wanted to ask you a few things:

  1. hairs that grow back will be more soft and light?
  2. if I wanted to simply make the hair less thick and dark (on my chest for example) only one treatment of laser hair removal might be useful?

Really thanks,
Saraceno

  1. The hairs do appear to grow in more finer but maybe because surrounding coarser hair is killed off?
2)There is no simple formula that can predict how many treatments just to make hair pattern less thick and dark, but 1 treatment will definitely not give you any noticeable results. You will need at least 3 treatments about 8 weeks apart to see noticeable reduction. Remember that ā€œfull packageā€ of treatments never gives you 100% of removal anyway, so 3-4 treatments sounds reasonable.

Please read the FAQs at the link below.

What machine and settings are being used? Is your hair coarse and dense?

Make sure the hair sheds within 3 weeks. It needs to if the treatment was effective. If it doesnā€™t, something is wrong.

My hair is Coarse and dense. My skin is pale and hairs are Black.
Iā€™ve done my second treatment. The laser is the Apogee Ć©lite from Cynosure.
My hairs are shedding within the first two weeks. I cant tell you anything about the power. Last time Iā€™ve read on the display the number 14,just this  i will update the topic with the results. Thanks to all.
