I am in the market for a good magnifying lamp for DIY electro (and maybe some electro on a future electro buddy.) Does anyone have a magnifying lamp they use and works well for them? I think my pro electro uses a Dazor 8 diopter lamp but they are pretty expensive. Anyone have any recommendations?
you can get used electrolysis circle lamps for $75 to $150 depending on if they have floor stands or shelf clamps.
What about those magnifying glasses worn like reading glasses that some techs use for various things? I don’t know what they’re called or where to get them, but I know they exist
Those are relatively cheap, going for $50 or less, but keep in mind, they are only 3 diopter, and you have to move your head into place to use them, and then don’t move forward or backward, as your vision would go out of focus then.
At least with circle lamps, once you set them, you can work that area until you are done without worrying about the focus, unless your client is fidgety.
