Machine type

Hello again. I do the blend modality and I use the Fischer compublend and the galvanic part stopped working. I called Fischer and they told me to replace my needle cord and I did and it worked better but I had to have it turned up so high that it should have knocked my client off the table and then it eventually stopped working again. My instuctor sold me that unit a year ago for $200.00 and it was purchased in 2001 so I just decided to order an Apilus Jr. I ordered it 3 mths ago and it still hasnt arrived. I was told it would take 10 days and day 14 I called and they told me that customs in the USA was holding it hostage. I called UPS last week and they said they dont even have it in their possession so I just called my credit card co and disputed the charges. NOW, I took my old machine to a local Electrology Supplier here and they told me my red cord for the wand was too loose and old and that I needed a new pedal also, so he tested the machine out with the new wand/red cord and the little light he tested the machine with blinked and he said all was fine. I got home and tried on my own arm and STILL I dont feel anything when I turn the electrolysis/galvanic part all the way up so it IS the machine and Im calling tomorrow to see if they will give me my monies back for the cord and pedal I bought.

NOW, since I canceled/disputed the apilus, im stuck. I called dectro directly and acted as if I was interested in a machine from them and I asked how long will it take to ship to the United States and they told me what the person told me that I ordered it though, but Dectro said that there is NOW CLUE to how long those machines will sit at customs and be held up by the FDA. So my question to you all is, what other brand of machine will work as well as the apilus Jr for what I do at this point in my career (just starting out 1 yr now) doing the blend modality? I would like it to be already in the USA and if theres a problem I can ship it back within the USA so I wont have the customs problem anymore.

Please help and thank GOD this isnt my primary source of income at this point or I would be homeless.

Thanks in advance.

I’m thinking that you should be involved on the closed website, Electrology International or Hairshoot (British site), Ms. Olivia. Can you make a request to join? In order to add you to the group, you need to submit proof that you are an electrologist - it can be a website, certificate with dates included, etc. Please make it easy for me and Barbara Greathouse to add you to the group by submitting proof that you are an electrologist or a student. Just send the information to my facebook inbox.

The manufacturers watch those websites and there is never a lack of commenting to help our colleagues through difficulties.

Texas Electrolysis Supply can probably fix it properly. It’s not that complicated for a tech that knows epilators. Contact them.

I just talked to Dr. Myron Heimlich two days ago. Very nice gentleman who owns Texas Electrolysis Supply and who is an expert genius at fixing epilators. Google the 1-800 number. I personally plan to order my supplies from TES from now on. My last order from their competitor was totally messed up and no restitution was offered. I’m through with them! Besides, I like the state of Texas a whole bunch. Good people all!

What she said…ditto

Texas Electrolysis Supply lists the Apilus Junior among their machines for sale. I’ve always received exceptional service from them.Perhaps you should give them a call.
