Low-intensity electrolysis in London

I’ve recently moved to London UK from the US where I was treated with a low-intensity machine, Clareblend. I’m trying to find a similar machine in London (or Dover area) to be treated with, and have had no luck. Someone said the “Esthetix” machine by EA Ellison might be the closet comparison, but I can’t find anyone who uses it. The Clareblend in the US is great as I get hardly any pigmentation, and I still get results. It takes longer, but I’d rather not have a year of pigmentation which I’ve been having with some of the more high-intensity machines here. Any help appreciated.

Hi juwd194,
I don’t actually know much about Clareblend, but it is probably worth trying electrologists who use blend machines and explaining your case to them. It is possible to set the high frequency current low, the galvanic on higher amperage and treat for longer time per follicle.
Just shop around and get many consultations and test patches. Most electrologist in the UK work with Sterex machines still, but there are a few Instantron Spectrum Elites and Apiluses around now as well that give you more options.

Geri - Thank you. Yes, I’ve heard that Apilus is good, and know someone who uses, but not sure why they are better than Sterex… It does seem everyone does use Sterex here.

Apilus, as well as the Spectrum Elite, are more advanced machines that are also digital and give us many options to combine strength and timings and currents to deliver just as effective, but more comfortable, faster and efficient treatment. Sterex is UK manufactured and practitioners are often trained on it in college and tend to stick with it, since it is also cheaper. I am not overly keen on the blend it delivers though. It works, but it’s a bit difficult to get it right on some days.
