There are not so many laser clinic in Louisiana (I was looking for Candela laser only and found only a few, and most of them were 70-100 miles away), I wanted to post my review about this clinic, because the chances are lots of people living in the area will go there.
I posted my review online, but they somehow managed to delete it. I checked it in a week and it was gone, but instead about 20 rave reviews have appeared (definitely fake!).
So, I went to this clinic to get my upper lip lasered. I have very thin light brown lip hair, and of course those types of hair can not be treated with laser (I know it now – thanks to this forum). But they gladly took my money and treated me. I didn’t have hair on my chin, but the tech decided to “treat” the chin as well and lasered it without my permission. I didn’t like it but, again, no one asked me if I wanted it or not.
In a few months I got coarse hair on my chin.I didn’t realize that the hair were laser-induced and went to the same clinic to “treat” both the lip and the chin. This time she also lasered my neck (again without my permission). I didn’t know about the possibility of laser-induced hair yet, but I still was very uncomfortable – she unnecessarily lasered the hair-free area where the thyroid is located and I didn’t like it at all.
In a few more months I was struggling with coarse hair on my chin and my neck as well.
Now I’m being treated by the electrologist, who tells me that during her 40+ years of experience she never met anyone with such a delicate sensitive skin… – the probes and the current leave permanent marks on my skin. My chin contour was perfect, but now looks asymmetrical (left side had more hair and was treated more aggressively, hence more scarring tissue on the left side, hence asymmetry), bumpy and ugly. And I could avoid all that if didn’t have those unnecessary treatments by charlatans who were after my money and didn’t care about me (the client) at all or about what they were doing.
Just another sad story about damaged skin and life because of negligence of greedy, poorly educated people who work with skin and know so little about it.
And, of course, just a warning to all Louisianians to avoid this terrible clinic, Louisiana Laserderm.
(There were other problems with them – for example I bought their certificate shortly before I realized what kind of clinic it was, that their laser tech was incompetent and that they were using outdated second hand equipment), so I requested refund/cancellation of this certificate once I started to understand what they were doing to me. They refused to refund money for unused certificate and I lost additional $$$). But, of course, the physical damage that they caused can’t be compared to the loss couple of hundreds.
