Looking for the best way

Hello,
Ive been looking for the past 2 months for an IPL machine. But the more I read, the more I doubt. Im white (probably between type I and II), with light red hair.
I know you dont recommend to do it by yourself, but Im willing to give it a try (and tell you the results after!).
I think that electrolysis would probably be the best for me, but Id rather like IPL (for the other uses it has). I saw many IPL in eBay, and I would like to know your opinion about it. I read that some of them are scam, but how? After you pay they dont sent it?
Or it doesn`t work?
what about this one http://cgi.ebay.es/Mini-IPL-Intense-Pulsed-Light-Hair-Removal-System-NEW_W0QQitemZ120529501355QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c101e3cab
I was looking for something around 1500$
And what about the Jcm2? is it good to have one that has up to 220 Jcm2?

Hi nadamya, welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately all those IPL machines on eBay just don’t work. A real IPL machine is the same as a laser, it would cost $50,000 and higher. All those machines on eBay are are fancy flashlights that don’t do anything.

Here’s the problem though, even if they did work, your hair type is wrong for laser/IPL removal. Laser and IPL will only work on dark coarse hair, so hair that’s black, or dark brown. Laser won’t work on blonde, red, gray, white etc hair since it can’t see it and IPL is no different. Really the only option for you is electrolysis where you will get full removal on any hair type.

No IPL or laser, home product or not, won’t work on light red hair. The hair needs to be dark and coarse for laser hair removal.

Buying lasers off Ebay for less than $10,000 is mostly a scam, stay away from them. Don’t be cheap, laser hair removal and electrolysis may not be cheap. But you will get the results you want eventually thru having some patience.
