I’m completely new to hair (and tattoo) removal but have been considering purchasing a small device for a hair/tattoo studio. We’re looking to do simple tattoo removal procedures and hair removal.

Is there any equipment on the market that I should stay away from? Anything decent (even lightly used) in that price range?

I noticed the Quazar IPL600 and IPL800D are within my range, but some of the posts here seem to frown upon using IPL for hair removal.

If you want to do hair removal, you would need a true Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (LASER) machine. Although used ones do come up every now and then, even a used one would not be in the price range you have stated.
