Hi! I’ve been lurking around this forum for quite a while. Hmm, it’s hard figuring out quite how to word an introductory post. First off I’m a 26 year old female. I’ve been interested in having electrolysis done for quite a while. My main priority is my face right now, my upper lip and parts of my chin have darker hairs but the ‘beard’ area and also my forehead has much lighter but longer ‘vellus’ hairs I believe they are called. Honestly most of my body is covered in these light but long hairs and I would LOVE to basically do my entire body. I’m going to attach some pictures of the area right below my belly button to perhaps give a better idea of what I’m dealing with.
I guess my first question is, is this insane? Does it seem super unreasonable to basically want to get rid of all the hair on my body? I was thinking I could start with my face/neck and then move to arm pits and bikini area and then start tackling my entire front then the back then my arms and finally my legs. I guess the legs would just be more of a convenience thing, since I hate shaving. I am really into body modification, I have a lot of tattoos and piercings and I wear my hair in dreadlocks. To me this is just another way of modifying my body to be closer to the way I want it. I hate my body hair. I just haven’t heard of very many people getting rid of so much hair.
And speaking of tattoos, that leads me to my next question. I had always heard that you cannot perform electrolysis on tattoos. Currently I have my entire right arm, my chest, my feet and an ankle tattooed. I wouldn’t mind not removing the hair on my arm, but I think it would be weird if I did end up doing my entire front to have my chest piece still be fuzzy. 
However, when I was searching through posts here I found it was possible to perform electrolysis on tattooed skin. I would just want to make sure there really is no chance of damanging the tattoo. It seemed to me there shouldn’t be a problem since obviously I still have hair there so it’s got to be growing from some where. I just really love my tattoos and would hate to mess them up.
And finally! Can anyone recommend a good place for taking on such a task? I live in Portland, ME which is in Southern Maine.
