looking for an electrologist in Lake County, Ohio

Can anyone recommend a good electrologist in Lake County, Ohio or in or around Cleveland/ Cleveland Heights? My profile says Portland, Oregon but I just arrived for an extended visit to Willoughby, Ohio, where I will be probably for at least the next 6 months or so. I also have family in Cleveland Heights.

I can give no higher recommendation than Electrolysis SuperFriend:

Rita Oliman, CPE
Rita’s Electrolysis Clinic
27476 Detroit Rd, Cleveland, OH 44145-2393,
(440) 835-1047

She has another location in the area, but I forget where that is.

Her other location MIGHT be :

12500 Edgewater #506
Lakewood, Ohio 44107

I’m looking at a roster that is 5 years old.

In Willoughby you can look into:

Joyce Osborne
35104 Euclid Ave. Suite LL3
Willoughby, Ohio 44094

This is Cuyahoga county.

440-951-3534

I have no personal knowledge of her work, but you can check it out for yourself.

Karen Rossi
13535 Detroit Ave. Suite 3
Lakewood, Ohio

216-521-3767

I believe she does laser and electrolysis. I have never sampled her work, but she has been an active leader in the Ohio electrolysis association.

Have you had a thorough evaluation of your adrenal glands with a medical doctor?

Dee

Thanks bunches. I will see if Rita is not too far first since she is so highly recommended. The only problem is I have to rely on others for transportation, having them drive me or let me borrow the car!

I had a full adrenal lab test done with various saliva samples. It was a naturopath Dr. that ordered the test but it was sent to a clinical research lab who wrote up and interpreted the results. Because I’ve been so stressed and depressed about this hair growth lately with high anxiety (in addition to the old diet) my cortisol was highly elevated 3 out of the 4 times it was tested during the day (42 in the am when normal range 13-24, 37 in early afternoon when 5-10 normal, and 5 late at night when 1-4 is normal) In addition my DHEA is slightly elevated at 12 when normal is 3-10, testosterone is 21 when normal is 8-20 and my progesterone is low the 2nd half of my cycle. I am currently taking phosphorylated serine supplements to reduce the Cortisol, another supplement for my adrenals called Drenamin and spironolactone for the testosterone. I will also be switching from the YAZ birth control pill to natural progesterone so hopefully I am covering everything. Will I still have success with electrolysis with my fatigued adrenals? All this stuff has got to help.

Electrolysis will prevail if you can continue the treatments. Once the hair you have is removed, if the body keeps recruiting other follicles to grow hair, you just need to have pick up treatments to remove those as they come out. Most people with an ongoing testosterone problem require only one appointment a month, or at three month intervals.

Do tell Rita that I sent you, as she is frequently booked up, and may initially say that she is not taking new clients now. If you tell her that I sent you, and that you are only in town for a short period of time, she may let you inside the velvet rope.

Thanks so much James, I will definitely tell Rita what you said.

Shouldn’t the spironolactone and natural progesterone lower my testosterone so that it will NOT continue to be an ongoing problem? My naturopath says the natural progesterone will reduce my angrogens since my progesterone is low.
