Hi,
I was wondering after how long is it appropriate to touch the skin that electrolysis was done? I havent touched it for about 48 hours, then I took a shower etc . 1 week after the treatment when the scabs started to fall I have started using aloe vera mousturizer. Most of the scabs are gone but i have some little brown dots and sometimes red on the places where some scabs were. I was wondering did i make a mistake applying mousturizer or would the brown/red dots go away by itself?
Hi Yareno,
Before we answer this question I REALLY want to know what your electrologist said about this.
I think your own body knows the answer.
(YOU CAN’T SILENCE ME MICHAEL!)
She said they would go away
I would not be at all satisfied with that answer. “It will go away” is a incomplete answer.
Ask her to explain post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and angiogenesis. If she cannot, have her download my free booklet on the wound module. Or, do it yourself! www.bonoelectrolysis.com and go to “books.”
Thank you. I read the booklet and tried to understand as much as I could. Is it that they go away in a couple of weeks?
I would avoid touching the area with bare hands for as long as possible. Picking at your skin and introducing more bacteria to the area is only harming the healing process. I learnt the hard way back when I started electrolysis.
I won’t moisturise for two days after a session, and I steer well clear of anything too oily because it tends to create skin issues for me.
I think unfortunately i already touched it many times:( do you think its better to apply mousturizer with a cotton?
