Lightsheer ET on chest. (On beard worked well!!)

Hi!!!

I have been using in 2011 lightsheer ET, with very very good results on my beard (im a boy).

Last session i get on my beard was in January, and still i have NO re-growth !!!

Settings im using are: 30Joules, 30ms, spot size 9x9mm.

Now i want to use this machine (lightsheer ET) on my full chest … but i dont now if 30 joules/30 ms, on my chest can be very dangerous and are too high settings … or maybe chest needs higher settings than 30j/30ms …

So my question for specialist:

Which settings do you reccommend me for the chest???
Have anyone experience using lightsheer in this part of the body?? (chest).

pd: my skin.type is between 2-3.

Thank you!!!

Those settings will work very well on your chest hair provided it is coarse.

They are very high for a male beard though. I wonder how you could take them without burning. Are you sure the pulse width was not 100ms?

Also, can you tell me how did you space out the sessions on your face?

Im sure its 30ms, i look at the machine and the settings i saw was 30 joules and 30ms. Next session will be 32joules and also 30ms. (i think i will only need in my chin, and moustache, because now i have NO BEARD!!!) i will increase joules and i will see the results, now im very very happy!!

In the beginning, i was the following 50 days without beard, and then re-growth (but only 40% of the initial beard).

Now im 90 days since my last session, and still no beard (only a few hairs on my chin and moustache).

But i was looking on this forum and i found this: http://www.hairtell.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/73298/1.html

This boy was BURNED!!! using this settings: 35joules (i dont know the pulse width), and also with the spot of 9x9.

So im afraid if 30joules are too high or not.

The skin of the chest is more weak than the facial skin???

Is more resistive the facial or the chest skin??

I think chest skin are strongest!!???

So, if my facial skin can handle 30joules/30ms 9x9spot with lightsheer, is it safe the same setting for my chest???

Thank you so much!! And sorry for my poor english !!

You might want to switch to a YAG laser for your chin and upper lip hair. How many treatments have you had? Chin and upper lip hair on men usually respond better to YAG lasers since they penetrate deeper.

Yes, 30 joules should be fine on your chest hair considering you could take it on your beard.

Nevertheless, you can ask for a patch test on your chest. Better be safe than sorry.

You don’t need to go higher than 30J if your hair is really coarse.
