Hi,
I am interested in laser hair removal that works. To be honest I had laser treatments done about 6-8 years ago. I tried it in different laser clinics with multiple treatments in each. Now, my underarm has 95% reduction and my brazilian 5%! Now, I don’t remember what worked so well in my underarm, otherwise I would go do it for my brazilian! I now have two options either a clinic that uses Lightsheer Duet Diode laser (just confirming this is not IPL!) and another clinic which uses candela GentleLASE and CandelaYAG. Please help!!!
It depends on your skin type for one thing. If you have dark skin then only the Yag is good and maybe LightSheer. IF you have light skin and dark hair then GentleLase is the better machine. Lightsheer duet is not an IPL it’s a diode.
Thanks for that. My skin is probably skin type 3. So, what would your recommend?
Well both machines are good, I’d go with the GentleLASE first though, alexandrites are the best type of laser. The benefit of the duet is that it has a huge spot size but it really depends on the clinic. You may want to go for test patches at both places and find out the settings. I just went to a new clinic to do my full legs and they had GentleLASE so I thought sweet will be an amazing treatment. Then they used 15mm spot size and 8 joules, so was a complete waste of time. So laser type isn’t everything, it’s important but it’s not everything
