Hello everyone,
My pigmented vellus hairs (on cheeks, edge of face) appear to be difficult to see by most electrologists that I have visited, though they are perfectly visible to the naked eye in normal lighting or day light conditions. Most electrologists use the ring light for lighting. Maginification varies—some have the 3X that is part of the ring light, some use glasses (maginification unknown).
I had read on Dee’s post that light placement is important for being able to see the vellus hairs. Normally the ring light is placed between the electrologist and I (the electrologist is looking at me through the ring light).
What placement of the light is best for viewing vellus hairs?
Thank you!
