Lighsheer ET (9mm Spot size) for male beard. 35j

How about this settings:

Fluence: 35j/cm2
Pulse Duration: 30mm.

My Skin-type: between II-III.
Machine: Lumenis Lightsheer ET (Spot size: 9mm).
Part of body: male beard.

I saw that settings on the lumenis-lightsheer website for beard (you can see the pictures in page number 4) :

http://www.aesthetic.lumenis.com/pdf/highpower_lhr_system.pdf

Please see the pictures in page number 4.

Im going to the clinic tomorrow, they will test my skin to see how reacts to the fluences and depending on the results i will start the treatment in the future.

Thanx!!! and please see that pdf with the pictures, i dont know if that fluences are too HIGH.

This is a pretty small spot size, so make sure they’re covering the area well and overlapping properly. Otherwise, patchiness can be an issue.

You may be able to handle slightly higher settings too.

You may need a Yag laser for some parts of your face since some hair is too deep.

thanks for the answer!!!

what is the meaning of the word “overlapping” ??

overlapping = more shots in the same area???

thanx!!

It means covering about 10% of the previous area that was hit so that no spot remains untouched.

Sorry if im late answering !!

you say: “It means covering about 10% of the previous area that was hit so that no spot remains untouched”

implies that more risk to the epidermis/skin? more risks of burns?

if the same area of skin gets two laser-shots = risks of burns?

Definitely skip the LightSheer that spot size won’t penetrate deep enough. Yag honestly is the best best I find from experience on the face. I had my face done with Alex on the apogee elite at 15mm and everything shed by 4 weeks except upper lip and chin, with cheeks and neck prob shedding 60-70%. Went back did the entire face again, cheeks next all completely shed, chin shed everywhere except a small spot and upper lip did no shedding. 8 weeks or so later did the same thing alex, waited a few weeks then redid it all again but no shedding on chin.

People have to remember that it’s almost impossible to remove 100% of the facial hair so that you never have to shave again. It’s more to do a big reduction. Like on my neck and cheeks, I can shave and be very smooth now with no stubble where as before it was almost impossible to do. So even the reduction I’ve had helps a lot.

Next time did yag and actually had all of chin shed this time, upper lip not too much though, it’s so hard to treat upper lip. I’ve done something like 7 sessions and had probably a 50% reduction on neck and cheeks, with chin maybe 10% and upper lip probably 0%.
