Lidocane injections

What is the average cost for Lidocane injections?

You know you have to give yourself those about an inch apart over the entire area, subcutaneously (blister method). It’s a very tedious process, as I’ve done it before(not on myself). Personally, I think it’s overkill. When I did it, the lidocaine and needles were supplied to me, so I have no idea of the cost.

I think lidocaine is overkill, too, and has the potential to be dangerous if too much is given. If you must do this, only do it under the direct supervision of an experienced physician.

I’m located inside a DR. office and I was thinking of using this mainly for TG clients. I can’t imagine how it would feel to have electrolysis in such a sensitive area.

I went to my 6th clinic and they used this spray can type stuff to spray on the area before treating it. I’ve NEVER heard or seen any literature about this stuff but it worked really well. Right before they zapped me for laser, she would spray the area that was immediately going to be treated. The effects for the pain would only last for about 10-20 seconds, but they were sufficient for the original zap. Does anybody know what this is called? It could be perhaps used for electrolysis as well. I don’t know if it was water based, but it didn’t really seem to moisten my skin much. It was alot better then Benzocaine I know that.

If it only lasted seconds, it would have been one of the “freeze sprays” that literally chill the skin and the effect wears off when the skin warms back up. These are used for things like wart removal in dermatologists offices, and are not available over the counter at your local drug store.

Yes, that is right James W. Walker! I am surprised more clinics don’t use that. It works amazingly well, it is just probably a pain for laser and electrolysists to use because you have to spray it so frequently. Wish it was over the counter, that way I could bring it to any tech I wanted to alleviate their cost somewhat.

This just in, that product is now available over the counter in your local drug store under the name “Dr. Scholl’s Freeze Away Wart Remover”.

Been a few weeks since last here. I am glad to see about that freeze spray. My bone doc sprayed my knee joints before he stuck a huge needle into the joint, first treatment no spray, second hesitant treatment was a surprize. I was shocked to feel the ice cold spray hit my skin, he said he was out the first time. I said I almost did not come back, wish I had known. Then the hair removal I new it would work, but they charge me 40.00 a can. They said it was script only and would not let me take it. For my beakini area and scrotum area 1 1/2 treatments and out. So if Dr Scholls makes it available. I am about to maybe start electrolysis, it may be helpfull if it is available. Having trouble finding a clinic to work on male private areaadn anal. Though to start at least attack the gray. Only one taker and in Missouri side, adn very careful to warn me electrolysis not very quick. I have lost most of the very dark brown thicker hair, light brown adn a bit finer some patches empty only two and quarter size. Have an alexandrite scheduled 1st week in Nov. My stomach is nearly clear except fine textured but brown left. So seeing some reduction. One yr in Dec since start, Electroligist a bit alarming, said just wants me to know it is not a sure thing. So nervous and would like tofind another optional to pick. Just thought might as well start hitting the gray since its definately not going to go w/laser. Seem to have gray on testicles, I expect that to be a bit trying. Stil nervous with the lazer there and anal. Hope to find the spray. laser is great on that area on the darker coarse hairs. but yes, you do need a good electrologists for the gray hairs. where in missouri are you located? maybe someone has recommendations. the one you went to doesn’t sound too good. sounds like he/she is not sure of her skill. what method does she use?

Not sure of her electric choices. She was alarming, but kept telling me she just wanted to make sure I was aware of the possible disappointments. I understood but it did make me feel uneasy. Have had two other call back, and first of the two said she could not take on any new til end of Dec. She had taken over anothers clients and was full. Today another gal returned my call, she was at a conferance somewhere, west Virginia or ? But she was very up beatadn is due back on tues and said call and make an appointment for a consultation. Her enthusiasm although over the telephone relaxed me. After a number of rejections, well? She said she had worked on men before. I still need to ask about her credentials, good news is she is in Kansas so they have regulations. Topic is hard enough to approach so how I was recieved turned out,was very important. She offers all three electrolysis, blend, thermolysis, and galvanic. The apprehensive clinician said what ever discomfort I had felt in Alexandrite treatments theses would be 100x that. So I hope I can find that freeze spray. Not sure how many more light treatments I will get. My private area shows the least response, but for me waist down is most of where I have hair, scant on chest face arms and pits. HOWEVER, for visitors reading Iam seeing a reduction. Of course the more time the more trying, and the less money available. I must say commitment is the key. I am in Kansas City, I have posted here under wing and chuck, not sure how I did that. I am drawn toward this last tech, still questions to be answered, price and credentials. I may get a couple more call back also. This forum has been so helpful. I will check back, have another Alex 1st week of Nov. I do try to post as time goes by but it can be a while I’ve noticed before I do. Back again soon.
