LHR working, now what to do with rest (vellus)?

I am a 26 y/o female living in London of persian descent and quite possibly the hairiest girl in the world.

So I started LHR last year initially on face, underarms and half arms (now 6 sessions in using 16j at last session, 20j on 15mm on face). Then moved on to full legs and bikini a few months later (now 4 sessions in using 16 j). All of these areas have thick dark course black hair and I am very light-skinned. I use the Gentlelase in a Fulham clinic.

Results on underarms, bikini and legs have been good so far (hairs growing in much thinner), arms haven’t been so great and on the face I seem to have gotten rid of the the stubborn very course hairs but not the rest (some induced hair on cheeks and neck, my own fault for not being aware of this danger before hand)

My question is this: now that I have got the areas that bothered me most under control I realise that the vellus hair I have over the rest of my body (literally everywhere) is probably much more difficult to control! I shave my chest and stomach everyday, but don’t know what to do about my butt and lower back. The hair all over is fine (comparatively!) but long and dark and very noticeable as my skin is so light.

What do you suggest, I tried waxing my butt but get spots which are more noticeable than the hair. I also bleached my lower back but the hair is still quite noticeable. Would laser work on these areas, or just make the hair thicker and darker? the last thing I want to do is stimulate laser-induced growth (as I think I have seen at the tops of my thighs)…

I would welcome your thoughts, I’m also very happy to answer questions from anyone that wants to know anything about my laser experiences in London as a hairy girl who’s been doing laser for a while now…

What is the name of the laser? Just curious.

Laser will not help for fine hair whether it be dark and fine and it is epecially a waste of money for red, blond, clear, gray and light brown hair.

You need a modern electrologist that uses MicroFlash thermolysis or PicoFlash thermolysis with decent spend. Works well and is more comfortable. Look for someone who has professional vision equipment, but best of all, find a skilled electrologist. If you can not find those three combinations, I can only express my sympathy. Large areas for electrolysis is not impossible and it won’t take years and years for a MicroFlash/PicoFlash trained electrologist who doesn’t use a footswitch for releasing energy for every hair.

Sorry if this is to much information, but I know it is the best you can do for your particular situation IIIIFFFF you can find it.

Try to compare the hairs on your body you want to treat to the hairs you previously had treated with laser. Are the hairs the same diameter or as dark? If not, then don’t go for laser. Underarms/bikini will always have the best results, so compare to your thighs or arms instead. If the body hairs are somewhat like your lower legs then it might be worth laser. Laser wont work on vellus hairs. I know I’ve tried myself (:frowning:

Electrolysis is the only option for you to clear up the hairs left after several treatments with laser or with vellus hair.
