LHR when pregnant?

I am 6 mos pregnant and don’t plan on having further LHR until I give birth. Anyway I’m just wondering if anybody has any information on LHR while pregnant?

I called my laser center to ask if they would treat pregnant patients, and the response was “We prefer not to” rather than a definitive “no”… like if I were to push it, they might do it for me.

Also all information that I’ve read on the web so fars says there are no tests concluding that LHR is dangerous to a fetus, but also no tests that it’s completely safe either.

Like I said I do plan on waiting but I am curious if anybody here has had LHR while pregnant or knows someone who has, and what their experience has been.

From what i know, there are no proves that it can hurt anything BUT i know insurance companies don’t allow it so if a place is willing to do LHR on you the insurance company won’t back them up if something happens.

There are no studies indicating that this isn’t recommended, but you’ll have trouble finding a clinic that will want to take a risk because of insurance issues and the fact that if something goes wrong with your pregnancy, there would be nothing in stopping you from blaming them (and they will not be able to prove it otherwise). My advice to you is to wait 3 months.

I think most laser places shy away from pregnant women because of our our litigious society.
