I’m finally ready to get laser hair removal on my legs, but I have a few questions. I have very pale skin and dark hair, but I currently have tons of ingrown hairs on my legs and consequently a lot of dark/reddish spots. They look pretty awful, and I’m really embarrassed to even let people see them at the consultation, but I know it’s necessary. I know they say laser hair removal is the best method for people who get ingrown hairs, but will the dark spots interfere with my procedure? (The spots are smaller than an eraser, but I guess my skin in those areas can’t be considered ‘fair’.)
I’m also wondering what to expect with ingrown hairs. I can see them below the surface, and they’re long and tightly coiled. I’ve had them for awhile, even after using tend skin. I know after laser my hair will shed, but if these won’t come out now, how will they come out after the laser hair removal?
Does anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated. I’m nervous they’re going to look at my legs and tell me they can’t do anything for me.
