I am out of town for some months ,where I did finally find an E who does good work . Ive been going every 2 weeks as requested, for work on my face . So ive been 6 times now but it seems that for every 20 minutes of work each visit, it has cost over 100, and not that much hair is removed as it is done on a slower setting. Many of those appointments the problem hair had not yet really returned ready to be treated but they made it clear that this is the protocol that needs to be followed for success.
The biggest drag is that NOW the more problematic darker hair is coming back and needs to be removed but Ive spent so much money on the previous appointments every 2 weeks that now that i do actually need it i really cant afford to go!
Well I must be honest with myself . I honestly just can not afford this process every two weeks so I may just have to let go of this hope entirely.
I have written lengthy posts about my journey before.
I spent some 7 years researching and saving for hair removal before I started Laser and electrolysis. Then I had to start over again to find an electrologist who could actually achieve what I wanted. When we found this electrologist, it was a waiting game again, saving money and waiting for an appointment.
At the very least, you are in a great position because you KNOW some excellent electrologists. You don’t need to let go of this hope, just put it on standby.
Start saving now and making a real plan to visit someone who can guarantee permanent hair removal.
I can only agree with stoppit…most of us have wasted money, time etc, I only wasted £500 on electrolysis before deciding I needed to travel to get the best treatment…in comparison to some on here £500 isn’t that much… But to put it into context I had laser ever 10-12 weeks for 12 years which made a problem that didn’t really exist become a real problem…now I travel every few months to get what I need…and in the 2 clearances I’ve had I’ve probably seen a 75% reduction in hair…still a way to go though.
If you have exhausted every avenue locally then sometimes you have to bit the bullet and travel for what you need, even if that men’s saving for a year and then having a week long marathon session etc with someone you know will kill a high percentage there and then! Good luck!!
You don’t actually NEED to go in every two weeks. In most cases, it’s also more expensive to do this. You only need treatments every month or so as long as you get a clearance of all hairs at each treatment. Since longer treatments are typically cheaper, it would make most sense for you financially to go in for one long treatment to remove all visible hairs. Then shave the hairs that come in afterwards for a month and go in again for a long treatment to remove all hair at that point.
thanks for all your comments. LAgirl how much i wish i had this before now! I totally agree and in retrospect just wish that the approach taken!
