Let's begin

First of all: Hello world <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

My name is John, I’m 26 years old half Polish, half Nigerian. I live in London.
Why am I here? Yes, you guess, I’m hairy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />, but what you don’t know is how much hairy I am.
I am as hairy as possible <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />.

I don’t like it. To be honest, I hate it!
It even hurts when I wear clothes (because hair
are so coarse and thick like wires, sic!).
Have I already mentioned that I hate it? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Ok, to give you a picture, imagine that this guy has brown skin.
I’m much younger so I don’t look exactly like
this man now but It’s only a metter of time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Yes, I know this’s sad <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Ok, but I weren’t here if I would not want to do something with this condition.

At this moment I have about 35k pounds (something about
$70k), job which will give me another 40k ($80k) pounds
to spare in next 3 years and can also afford some loan.

Now here come questions:

  1. Is it possible, with this budget, to hire one of the best practitioner
in US (buy whole schedule) and to have let’s say 8 hour sessions for as long as require?
I would move to the town, where the practitioner lives,
    because I can work remotely.

  2. Is it better for such amount of hair to use laser first?
(but remember that I have brown skin)

  3. Is it better to wait couple of years? Can we expect that there will
be some great revolutionary hair reoval technique in 5 years?

I would really appreciate if James or Fino Gior wrote something in this topic.

I’m looking forward hearing from you all :>

Have a nice day :>

p.s.
sorry for language mistakes (English isn’t my native tongue <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />)
p.s.2
heeeh, I see another new Londoner’s topic :> Cheers mate!

For brown skin, a good experienced practitioner can achieve results with a Yag laser. Then, you can finish up with electrolysis. It might be cheaper that way too. There are practitioners in London as well, so you don’t need to necessarily hire an American. And with that kind of money, I think you will be ok based on the current exchange rate <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You did not say where you have all this hair, but clearing people of large amounts of hair is what Fino and I do for a living. What ever you have to remove, He, or I could do it given the time. I can also say that you have enough of a budget to clear all the hair on most people’s bodies from head to toe.
As if it needs to be repeated here, I don’t advise Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation treatments for anyone, especially people with pigment in their skin.

I have hair all over my body, I am one of those bears <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I don’t look for permament hair removal from LASER, but maybe
LASER would help to reduce amount of hair and make them
thinner what would make electrolysis easier.

Start with laser, finish with electrolysis. It will take less time. Get consultations and test spots from practitioners that use a Nd:YAG 1064nm laser. Examples of such lasers are the Lyra-i, Coolglide, and Sciton. My favorite is the Sciton, which uses a scanner to speed treatment. There are other YAGs also.

Laser works very well on dark coarse hair, and the Nd:YAG is best for your skin type. As you get more treatments, a lot of hair will be gone (and not come back!) and some that was not hit in the growth stage, will come back finer and lighter. As the hair gets finer, it will be more difficult to treat with laser. That is when you switch to electrolysis.

My first laser treatment on the chest removed 50% of the hair and it never came back. Regrowth remains stable usually at about 2 months. That is what doesn’t grow back after 2 months is not coming back.

The laser treatments will be painful, if they are not you are probably being undertreated. But the pain is bearable. But for removing large amounts of hair over large areas, laser cannot be beat. Period.

You can go with electrolysis from the start, but it will take more treatment hours.
