is that okay? I have a friend who have gone with laser treatment 7 months ago and she’s fine but there are few hairs growing back now little by little again… she’s on a tight budget and she’s thinking of waxing for the meantime, will that have any effects? any complex in the future if she decides to get laser again few months after?
…and of course that includes waxing her face as well!
Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.
Simple answer : I would not wax. Shaving would be better until she can get the funds to continue. I am not a proponent for facial waxing.
I think it will be fine for body areas. I have finished my Laser treatments for now (I may have an extra one in the future on my thighs to see if I can get any further reduction) and so am back to waxing - it lasts a really long time now, too!
But as Dee has said, I would not do it on the face either.
If there are a few hairs coming back little by little, it could be a good move to start electrolysis on the face and get them removed as they come up. But it will require regular spending.
Thanks guys!
@Dhafey: I called her up soon as I read your response here, I actually advised her that waxing could be good alternative. Well because, I do wax myself and as a matter of fact I do it often times in my face. The reason why is because, I tried shaving my face before but all I got was blisters and tiny black dots [which was folliculitis that I just learned recently from another friend] so then I just decided that I will never shave instead I will just wax hairs on my face.
Thanks stoppit&tidyup, well I must agree. lasers and electrolysis requires spending… once you start, it needs maintenance and you just can’t stop. it is one reason why I haven’t really decide to give it a go just yet, because I am not so sure if I can keep up with all the cost and expenses that may come after, so at the moment I am just waxing.
