I saw some laser tattoo removing yesterday on tv. I was just wondering; it was extreme laser work and I was wondering if it also removed all hair there also. I would assume it would have to.It was blistering the skin!
Hi. I may be among the few here who can reply with experience, though perhaps not as knowledgeable about a lot of other things. Anyway, I’ll say this:
Laser Hair Removal – as I’ve experienced it – is a cakewalk compared to laser tattoo removal. And, no, I don’t think laser tat removal targets hair at all. But it is hard for me to say as both my LHR/electrolysis and tat removal are all in the same area.
Laser tat removal also is much more expensive – $300 per treatment and no discount packages available – where I live. Nothing less. It is done by a cosmetic surgeon one day per month and people line up. You do get local anesthetic and GOOD THING because this is probably – and I’m not kidding much here – five times more painful than LHR. It just fries your skin above where the targeted tattoo ink is located. Afterward, I bled for two days from the area targeted by the Q-Switched laser used in the tattoo removal process.
I’m having a tattoo partly removed so I can have it redone. You’ve just gotta watch out.
I realize they’re not targeting the hair, i was just thinking that the hair follicles would be destroyed in the tat removal process.
