laser side effects on superficial arteries/veins possible?

Hello everybody,

I want to ask if there are known side effects on blood vessels by doing lasering (gentlelase plus with criogene). As the laser is able to eliminate varicouse veins I wonder what happens to blood veins/arteries close to the skin (for example of the back of the hand)like many, especially eldery people have, that means veins and arteries that should not get affected in any way. Can they be affected? What do the practicioners have to say? Thank you all in advance.

I have never had trouble with veins, even with the Nd:YAG. Much higher fluences and a very small spot size are used for vein removal. The Lyra-i can go up to 400J for vein removal if I remember right.
