Laser Settings

Hello. I just wanted to ask your opinion on gentleLASE, i have been convinced that as long as the hair sheds, it is therefore killed. So if you are at a setting where the hairs are shedding there is no point in increasing the setting, what is your thoughts about this?

Do you still believe use the highest setting possible, if so, why?

any opinion appreciated
thanks

I am happy with my GentleLase treatment. My previous laser tech, whom I liked a lot, raised it whenever possible. However I am not sure if it’s necessary. I also used Rx topical anaesthetic to lessen pain.

That’s not the case 100% of the time. It’s just one indicator that something is happening, i.e. if it’s not happening, it’s a good indicator that nothing is. There is no way to know if the settings are actually high enough to kill the hair permanently, that’s why it’s advisable to treat at highest settings your skin can handle safely and not under the minumums we usually specify.
