hi,
i have just bought a packet (i know!) for 6 sessions with lightsheer/duet (where applicable) and i am going to start with my hairy lower legs. i got this packet in a groupon deal as it was 170euro which is less than the price of one session on the lower legs normally.
however i waxed them about 8 weeks ago, and then epilated them about 4 weeks ago.
my hair tends to grow really fast- i could shave my legs twice a day and they’d still feel like sandpaper. after a wax hair starts to grow in about 6 days later.
regrowth is somewhat patchy, a bit thinner than usual obviously (i ordinarily never wax only shave- and indeed it’s already coarser) but i can see the dark hair underneath, in the areas it hasn’t grown to the surface yet.
do you think i could already go for my first laser treatment? and what is the timeframe i should typically be looking at between treatments? i know, i should go back when i have enough hair, but what timeframe is safe for the next cycle, ie. 6 weeks-12 weeks? or does the cycle really vary so much from person to person?
also, if i have missed patches after the laser session, they say i have to go back in 1-2 weeks, no later, and show them the untreated hair, so they can treat it. i protested, three weeks is the safest for me, when you can really see what was missed, but they say “no that’s too late”, so ok, two weeks for a touchup.
and, how many of you have had treatments where the tech has actually drawn a grid on your body- and stuck to it? i always ask for one but they say “i don’t need that i can see where the hair is”- but then they glide and miss loads and i end up fighting for free touchups (i always win). this is also by ‘reputable’ companies too. if it was me, i would want to be SURE that i gave a good, thorough service, as it’s not like the client can’t tell when i’ve missed spots?! usually you can tell a companies work ethic through the attitude of their staff- and when that’s off, i never go back. you wouldn’t believe how many of those i’ve come across so far- and i’ve only been at it for two years. bitch, moan.
