I have been reading about alot of people who claim that having laser treatment can make the fine blonde hairs thicker. Is it possible that laser treatments can cause vellus hairs to turn terminal or are they fine vellus hairs turning into thicker vellus hairs. I thought only androgens can cause vellus hairs to turn terminal.
My personal experience: A fine vellus hair turned into slightly thicker, darker, and much longer vellus hair. I believe the term is “advanced vellus.” You are right, for me they are in no way terminal, just more bothersome and noticible than before.
yes, it is possible. laser shouldn’t be used on vellus, sparse, and very fine hairs, and it doesnt work on blond or white hair at all.
