Laser in Glasgow? Reccomendations?

I’m finding it REALLY hard to find anyone to quiz outside of the internet on this who has had actual laser and not IPL.
I’m looking for somewhere to have laser done on my arms, the only places I’ve seen that do it (non-IPL) in Glasgow are ‘Essence medical’ and ‘skin technology’, so any comments on those clinics or anywhere else would be massively helpful.

Perhaps this link will help?

Not too much, I’m afraid. That thread was made about 10 years ago if I see the dates right, and a few things have changed since then.
People are (generally) no longer allowed laser on the NHS past facial treatments- I am doing my arms.
Boots no longer do the laser treatments.
SK:N (lasercare clinics) I’ve actually heard horrible things about bad training and technicians there and a few bad treatment stories. I’d be apprehensive spending my money there.
Regency I think may have shut down.

Someone on another thread said they had success at a place called SKN-Glasgow.

I’ve heard few laser stories personally, only 3 non IPL and two were at SK:N. Both were pretty awful, maybe these people just happened to have bad experiences, but I’d still be apprehensive nonetheless. It’s a LOT of money for a young student to risk :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the answers, though

I don’t know if these will help -

This clinic uses an Apogee Elite: http://beauty-haven.com/index.php/hair-removal/cynosure/

This one is in Edinburgh and they have a GentleLase: http://www.faceandbody.co.uk/hair/laser-hair-removal

beauty haven- No reviews at all but it’s one to keep on the ‘consultation’ radar though, thanks. Hair removal is a BIG business, but no-one seems to review it!

I know somewhere good in Edinburgh already if all else fails (I’d rather spend a bit more on trains rather than chance it)

Try http://www.zest-for-life.co.uk/ in Helensburgh not too far for you to travel and they use GentleLASE laser. One of my clients had fairly good results with them, they are not part of a larger chain and seem to work on a professional basis.

Thanks again! I’ve got a few places on my list now.
