laser hair removal & sun exposure...

I had my first session march 27th, my second may 11th, and my next one isn’t until june 29th. my technician told me i’m probably better off just not going to the beach this summer or exposing the area i’m having treated to the sun AT ALL. but reading online it seems like you should just avoid the sun for the two weeks prior and two weeks after a session. is that true?

if my next session is June 29th, will a trip to the beach in early June be a bad idea? I’m just wondering if a little sun exposure is bad or not. or should i just play it safe and keep it covered.

Yes going to the beach few weeks before treatment is a bad idea. You don’t want the laser to burn you. If your skin is even slightly tanned, it can cause laser to burn you. Or the technician will be forced to use weak energy levels not to risk burns. Weak settings= bad treatment.
I avoided all sun exposure until I was done with all laser treatments.
