hello… new to this site
i had a consultation for laser hair removal and when i asked about removal on upper back/behind neck area, i was told they dont do that area, as lasers stimulate growth.
I called 2 other places and they said that they do offer treatment on the upper back for women.
Has anyone had this area treated or heard horror stories about getting more growth? thank you!
Don’t know about growth in that area but that area will be less effective because most of the area is fine.
Laser is known to induce growth on the backs and shoulders of men and the faces/necks of women. I haven’t heard of it happening to women on the back, but that is probably because it is not a common area for a female to treat.
Odi is totally right. Unless the hair is dark and coarse (coarse means equal to underarm hair or bikini line hair), you will not have good results at all. Electrolysis is a more common (and 100% effective) treatment for female necks.
Proceed at your own risk, but good luck either way.
If the hair there is not dense and coarse (and on the majority of women it’s not), laser will stimulate more growth there. Of course, there are plenty of clinics who will happily take your money anyway.
