Laser hair removal on female ARMS

At my last treatment, my tech looked at my arms and asked me if I wanted her to laser my arms. The hair on my arms, while dark in color, is pretty fine. I’m not sure if laser would work on my arms that well, but she suggested it.

Does anyone here have any experience lasering their arms? I recently read Kim Kardashian said she’s had her arms lasered so if it worked for her, might it work for me?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Do you have a photo or example of how coarse it is? Usually female arm hair isn’t coarse enough, but it definitely can be for some girls. My arm hair is right on the border of being ideal for laser so I decided to go for it (it’s not that much money and even a reduction would be nice). But everyone’s hair is different.

I’d say I had reasonably coarse hair on my arms. I’m 8 weeks post treatment number 4. Currently, I have patchy regrow; some areas have quite a bit of hair and others sparse but for the most part it’s fine. Even though I haven’t shaved in 3 weeks and the hairs are few mm long, they feel soft and not very noticeable if I move my hand across my skin. Since I’m being treated with a YAG laser, I may not have any more treatments as I’m not sure if it will work on the remaining fine hairs. I did always expect only to achieve a reduction. If I want further reduction, I will probably have electrolysis done.

So, if you’re hair is suitably coarse, I’m sure you can get a good reduction at least. I will still probably shave or wax as I like the look of hair free arms but I imagine it will be less frequently than I used to.

My sister has coarser hair than mine and has had 1 treatment so far. Hopefully she will get better results but only time will tell.

You can see the post linked in my signature for photos of both our arms before. I will hopefully be updating it soon.

Please post a photo. Impossible to give you advice on your situation without seeing the hair. It could be coarse enough or it may not be. Obviously, they’re suggesting it because it would mean more business for them. You need to decide for yourself whether you want or need it or whether it would even work.

I wouldn’t take any celebrity stories you read as fact. They only share with the media what they prefer others to think about them. Kim also says she hasn’t had plastic surgery.

i regret having my arms, they are very patchy!

Patchiness is usually due to a sloppy treatment where proper overlapping is not done.

im patchy everywhere!..not impressed

They should be overlapping every time. At 3 weeks, whatever hasn’t shed should be touched up because that’s the hair that was missed. If it’s not touched up, you end up with patchiness after a while.

www.ultrasoundhairremoval.ie - has any one ever used the applosonix selectif pro. it is meant to be as efficient if not more so than laser, and supposedly works on all skin colours and hair colours (unlike laser)… there are a lot of clinics in ireland using it - please watch the link above to see wht you think… i am irish but living in melbourne and trying to find out more about it - thanks

There is no indication anywhere that this thing works.
