laser hair removal not working??

Hi all,
I have had successful hair reduction on many parts of body - legs, biking line and underarms with amazing results.
am very light indian skintone but with coarse dark hair growth so they responded well

the lighter hairs on those areas never responded but pleased overall with the reduction - I don’t think can get the lighter hairs to respond…

But I have been having my face treated- have had about 15 treatments to date now
First 12 were on coarse hair settings, went up to the maximum setting possible.

The clinic I go to is nationwide and well run so they spoke to a doctor about my lack of response on the face so they were allowed to lower the settings for fine hair so the laser was deeper -not sure what this means, but it is a newer thing.
they then went to the highest they can for this
the new settings are meant to be for fine hair

However no response -my hair on the face is all over, dark and black in appearance yet if grown out, quite long and downy…

Any ideas why it is so unresponsive? I’ve tried bleaching as grown out the hair is not male like and can be bleached, but the bleach doesn’t even hold on such dark hairs. Threading and waxing way too often- doesn’t last a week before heavy regrowth is highly visible

I am hypothyroid and take thyroxine but all under control.
the clinic thinks it may be medication as the rest of my body has responded well

Any ideas? Solutions? other experiences??

Laser can’t see fine hair even if it dark hair. This is why I always advise people to get laser hair reduction for their body areas if they are a good candidate, and use electrolysis for the FACE!

Are you tired of spending money after 15 treatments and no results?? If you want to stop spinning your wheels, get electrolysis. Have you ever heard of electrolysis? It’s been around for 130+++ years and it works. It’s all you have if you want to stop the insanity of threading, waxing and laser hair reduction. That is my idea and solution.

I see many women like you that gave it their all with laser and ended up with more hair on their face or no results. They didn’t want to give up on laser and they continued to have huge hopes that it would eventually work. I wish people would think that way about electrolysis. If they did, they would end up with the problem solved - permanently - within 9-18 months.

Yes am sooo fed up paying for it!
I started off with fine downy hair, but now if I remove it in the morning, get stubble by afternoon. threading/waxing lasts 2/3 days only.

I did look at electrolysis, the only place near me does no needle electrolysis and don’t know if that is just a fad??

Electrolysis means using a probe to get energy to the bottom of the follicle to damage the tissue that feeds hair. Anything else is a scam. No needle, or a probe as I like to call it, equals scammy nonsense. They ride off the good name of electrolysis to fool you. Please don’t waste your money.

The hair on your face is too fine for laser. They’re not doing anything new or innovative. They’re just trying to increase the pulse width, but it’s not going to help you. The hair is too fine. There is nothing you can do for it with laser. You need electrolysis. Stop wasting your money on this area. You really should have stopped after 3 ineffective treatments on this area. 15 is outrageous. They should not have let you pay for all of those.

Where are you located?
