Laser Hair Removal in Connecticut

Does any one know of any good clinics in the greater hartford area that has affordable laser hair removal prices and has good lasers as well…pretty much best bang for your buck. Im looking to get my chest hair removed, any good places where i could do this for 800-1000$??

Thanks

Is Hartfield near Darien?

Dee

If you’re not doing your stomach, you can likely find plenty of places to do it for around $200 per treatment. You’ll need 6-8 treatments, spaced 2-3 months apart.

Please read our FAQs. Most places only have one machine, so you need to figure out what you are looking for first.

Dfahey, hartford is about 90 mins from darien…which would kind of be a difficult drive, but if there was a good deal there i maybe interested.

LAgirl, if you have know of any place around hartford that do perform chest treatments for 200, could you send me a list of clinics?

Thanks alot and hope to hear from you soon!

We don’t keep lists of clinics, but there is a link below for FAQs as well as How to Find a Clinic Near You.

Once again, you need to figure out what you need first. You need to be looking ONLY for a clinic with the right type of laser for YOUR specific skin type. You didn’t provide enough information to judge what you need or even whether LHR is the right method for you.

My skin type is a type III, i have black fairly course chest hair that covers all of my chest (entire area from the neck to where my stomach begins). Do you believe LHR is right for me?

Yes. You need an alexandrite type of laser like GentleLASE or Apogee.

okay thanks, so i tired using your search engine to find a clinic…would do u have any suggestions as to which clinics are good? I always hear ideal image advertised on the radio and they have they use the gentlelase laser. Would you happen to know what there price ranges are for chest treatments?

Please read the links. FAQs has prices ranges in addition to other useful info. These treatments aren’t cheap and it’s easy to waste your money, so I would really strongly advise you not to skimp on doing the right research (at least by reading the information in our FAQs thoroughly - I wrote it, so everything I would type again here is already in there).

Ideal Image has good machines, but they’re definitely on average more expensive than other clinics. You really need to use Candela’s search feature and then visit clinics for free consultations to get a feel for whether they are honest and know what they’re doing. And in order to judge this, you need to know the correct answers yourself, which the FAQs will help with.

i had my abs and chest done at Ct Laser Centers, which i think is now called anti aging centers of CT. they have offices in West Haven and Meridan. i was very pleased with the results. However, i was not looking to get it done opn the cheap, i was willing to pay for quality treatments, which i figured wud cost me, but in the long run wud be cheaper and less annoying than not having good work performed right the first time. i have had 8 treatements spaced over the last 2 years. just remember this isn’t a quick fix, it takes many treatments to get the results u r looking for and that usually isn’t cheap. i paid 500 per treatment for both chest and abs.

Soo today i went in for a consultation at ideal image to find out more about there procedure. It turns out the area i wanted to have done (chest) was gonna cost me 670 dollars a treatment or sign a package and pay 3350 for 9 treatments and a life time garuntee. They gave me an option of financing, but i did not qualify becuase i have no real source of income since i am a college student. I thought their price they gave me was way to expensive. Right before i left, they told me i could pay a “50 50” which is pay half the price on my first visit, and half 10 weeks later on my second. I still declined. They told me i need 9 treatments cuz there were 9 types of hair follicles. Is this true? Also, is my judgement on there pricing true as well? that it is overpriced? Does anyone know of any laser clinics that have significantly lower prices and still has good quality? i saw a place in the glastonbury region called plastic surgery center inc that offer a package of 4 treatments for 1280…does that seem like a good deal for chest hair removal? i believe they use a coolglide laser. i am a skin type 3 with black hair.

I would greatly appricate feedback on my situation

Thanks

In New York City, there are Centers that would do your chest for $ 300.00, specially if you are a student on a tight budget. You should try to find a provider that has the Gentlelase or Gentlemax or Elite.

  • That’s a really high price for just the chest (not stomach?). You can find better. Ideal Image is known for high prices. Remember that you can always negotiate. You should check out 4-5 clinics anyway.

  • Generally Idea Image uses Candela lasers. Are you sure it was a Coolglide? If that’s what it was, it’s not the best laser type for your skin type III since it’s a Yag.

  • Looking for GentleLASE, GentleMAX and Apogee machines, which are alexandrites and best for your skin type.

  • I wouldn’t even go for consultations without finding this info out first over the phone. Go only to clinics that have what you need.

  • You may have misunderstood about number of types of follicles. You’ll need 6-8 treamtents spaced 8-12 weeks apart, granted they are good treatments at good settings that induce shedding.

Yeah i thought there prices were a bit on the high side…as for there lasers, they use alexandrites i believe…the other clinic i found uses the coolglide…the had a package of 4 treatments for 1280…im hoping i could find better then that.
