Laser Hair Removal for blonde hair?

I have alot of very light blonde hair on the stomach area above the belly button. It is very visible when wearing a bikini in the sunlight. I noticed LAgirl did laser hair removal for this area. Do you think it will work on light hair? This is the only area of my body where the hair is very light. Leg hair, etc is black and I have white skin.

Thanks!

Jenna75 i’m no expert but unless the others prove me wrong am afraid that so far no laser is capable of dealing with blonde hair. Lets hope I’m wrong.

Hiya Jenna,

I’m sorry to say that Anothergo is correct, there is no laser or IPL that will permanentley remove or reduce the blonde hair on your stomach.

The way the lasers and IPL’s work is by targetting pigment so unfortauntley if the hair hasn’t got any pigment, the hair wont react. In fact the only reaction that will come of laser on blonde hair if any is the remote risk, considering the body area (e.g. not face) that the hair may become stimulated.

Your best and only bet for the permanent hair removal of blonde hairs is electrolysis. If you have a look in the referral forum or kindly ask in the electrolysis forum, you may be able to find a good practitioner that would make quick work of this area for you.

Yes, feelyou post is spam.

Laser doesn’t work on blond hair at all. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. I had dark hair and laser didn’t work very well at all because it wasn’t coarse. Hair needs to be dark and coarse for laser to work well. I finished most of this area with electrolysis, which is your only permanent option. However, I must say that what you’re talking about is basically what is called peach fuzz and most people have it. It helps the skin look smooth and natural.

Thank you for the advice!
