First of all I am not even completed half my laser hair removal treatments. I have received treatments at another place before I went to Body Envy and I could not even tell I had treatments. But when I began at Body Envy i noticed a reduction just after one treatment, and my hair was actually growing slower. I went from shaving my underarms everyday to every couple of days.
The same has come true about my lower legs. And the price…incredible!!! My jaw fell to the floor when they told me how much it was going to cost me. It is quite a rare finding when a business can offer amazing prices, exquisite service and fantastic results.
I did my research on laser hair removal machine and I found out that some laser hair removal companies may claim they have laser or IPL machines recommended by the FDA. But if you go to their website you can see the FDA does not rate any laser/IPL system. Don’t let them fouled you and make sure you look for FDA approved technology for laser hair removal treatments.
“fooled” is spelt F-O-O-L-E-D, not F-O-U-L-E-D. Reminds me, too bad the Cubby’s lost again. I see that you made the same spelling error on the cosemetic enhancements forum in your “Laser hair removal - a blessing” post. Just trying to help
So the prices are amazing? What are you paying for your underarms and legs?
By golly, those are amazing prices. Do you think you wiill be hair-free in all those areas, permanently, for the rest of your life after your package is used?
please. you’re already a known spammer on another board where I have to delete your posts. PAY for advertising like everyone else. Or is your clinic not making enough money to afford that because of the horrible services you provide?
And that is why we make sure to let you know about such practices, leave enough of the post to let you research it yourself, and only in cases of blatant repeated spam, do we delete it entirely.
Of course, in most cases, if we say it is a bad product, why spend YOUR money to prove us wrong?
As for this Texas Spa, I have not been there, and I don’t know anyone who has been there, but if one wants a good word put in for oneself here on hairtell, get your actual customers to find you in the referral section, and post something about you under your listing. Maybe, they would even start their own hair removal journal so others will be able to see their hair removal journey.
I know how hard it is, because the average person, once they have all the answers they seek, they are not about to put any effort into paying it forward and helping the next guy/gal out. If my practice is any indication, one can’t expect more than 1% of one’s clients to be willing to “Go to the trouble” of posting even one post on here about you. Those who found me via this site are only slightly more likely to say something, but the numbers are still low. They are much more likely to participate in a conversation on here about a subject, and in the course of the conversation mention that I am their practitioner, than to just come on here and say, “Man this dude is awesome! You need to go there, child!”
"than to just come on here and say, “Man this dude is awesome! You need to go there, child!” "
James, judging by the number of self-promoting, self- aggrandizing, almost obnoxious posts you have here in the laser forums, not to mention the time you spend monitoring things, I would be surprised if most of your clients (“children” as you call them) don’t come from hairtell.
I would have expected at least 3-4 favorable posts from them over the years? Maybe they don’t get permanency like you always promise? Or they realize driving a few hours to see you is not worth it like you like to convince so many?
I still do like having you post your ads here, especially since several people are too pro laser so you balance things out in a way. So thank you!!
It is obvious that you like the site. You can’t stop posting on it anyway
Hmmm, perhaps you don’t know how to talk “southern” well enough to know that what I said is pronounced “chille”, and don’t know that it is more the equivalent to words like, Honey, Darling and Sweetheart. Perhaps you have not seen the posts by the clients who actually HAVE posted about me on here. I do have more than 4 different people who have seen me professionally post their experiences here on hair tell. If you can’t find them, I guess its because I don’t promote the presence of those posts, now do I?
I don’t even have web links in my signiature. (do you think I don’t know how to make one, or do you think you are smarter than me, since you figured out how to do one? Notice, also that yours has never been removed.)
If we wanted to have an AD SECTION, we would charge money for it. On the other hand, if someone wants to promote their practice on this site, the way to do it (and it is absolutely free) is to actually pitch in and do some of the heavy lifting of answering some questions around here to help the people LIKE YOU looking for answers. Imagine that? We don’t let people just come on here and use our site, which is so popular because questions are answered live here, and just say, HEY LOOK AT ME, I AM OPEN FOR BUSINESS. How Evil and self serving of us!
Any electrologist who is any good can get clients both from their area, and outside their area. It is not difficult when you have a product that 9 out of 10 people at least consider utilizing (hair removal that is).
Anyway you get a special hug and kiss from me too.
I am sure you would be a better web designer than most, and would let us know on a regular basis too (like you do regarding your supposedly superb electrolysis skills).
And I am crappy web designer as yet, unfortunately. No idea why you think I am smart.
dfahey,
I only got a small laser session twice, and get an electrolysis treatment once a month or two depending on time. It is annoying driving 1.5 hrs round trip for an hour of electrolysis, but my current electrologist is good.
Electrology 3000 is booked solid for 3 months, but I was contemplating going there due to the injections and their superb patient testimonials and speed. I also need to save up a bit more before spending that much in one go.
Hmmmm, so it IS worth traveling to see someone good, be it a two hour drive away, or even if one has to get on a plane to do so.
You heard it first from the Tembo’s mouth!
Actually, I am good at lots of things that I don’t tell anyone around here about, unless that information has something to do with the conversation at hand. I am also horrible at lots of things too.
Oh, no, I must be human
As for electrolysis, it reminds me of the Simpson’s episode where Burns hires major leaguers as “Ringers” for the company baseball team and Darryl Strawberry comes to take Homer’s place. Homer says, “So you think you are better than me Strawberry?!” Darryl looks at him and dead pans, “Homer, I don’t know you, and I have never seen you play, but, YES.” and takes his glove from him.
Sounds like the advice I gave you has held true.
I hope you find yourself free from unwanted hair is the shortest time possible, and with skin that looks like it never grew hair.
Well 1.5 hrs round trip (45 mins each way) is about my limit.
Electrology 3000 is not typical…they have two people going at you for 16 hrs combined using lidocaine injections. They are also faster than most electrologists and have numerous testimonials on the web. I would never recommend anyone fly or drive more than 2 hrs each way to see an electrologist. That would be very unethical of me.
I know of many instances where people fly to see certain doctors that are known for their expertise. One may fly to the Mayo clinic for a lung cancer evaluation and treatment. My neighbor flew to Madison, Wisconsin for back surgery. A friend of mine flew to John Hopkins for surgery that was performed by a physician with known skill in a certain area of the brain. A transgender friend chose to have surgery in city “X” as oppossed to city “Z”.
If you want to see someone with knowledge and expertise for whatever, why is it unethical to make a recommendation without concern about geographical area?
One and half hours might be your personal limit and that’s fine, but there is nothing unethical about recommending someone good in their specialty even if that requires traveling whatever distance necessary. If there is not a skilled electrologist close to your home then traveling may be the only option to get the bulk of the work done. The number of electrologists are diminishing in some regions of the globe, so some may need to travel if they want work done by a recommended professional. Maybe I’m not understanding your post very well. I apologize if I took this in the wrong direction, tembo. You are invited to correct my misconceptions. I can’t tell if you are frustrated or angry for some reason.
You are correct in detecting some frustration. I was “lured” by a highly experienced electrologist to travel a fair distance saying it would take 4-6 hours to clear my middle of eyebrow, a few more hours for upper cheeks etc…(I forget the exact specifics). It ended up taking way more time and thankfully I switched in time upon realizing the lies. Another electrologist I went to was also highly experienced and very friendly too, but also took forever. I finally found a really good one, but it would still take 100s of hours to clear everything I would like…
So, for my purposes, only electrology 3000 is a realistic choice to make long distance travel worthwile (they get 16 hrs in one day with two electrologists and lidocaine).
It would be unethical of ME to tell someone to travel more than 2 hrs ONE way to see a good electrologist, even for a small area of treatment. Most medium and large cities have plenty of electrologists in the US, so traveling 4 hours round trip is unnecessary. And even the bad EXPERIENCED electrologists rarely cause long term skin damage based on my results.
I doubt any electrologist would DISCOURAGE someone from even traveling 4 hours each way to see him/her…but based on my experience, only 25 percent are good…and 100 percent claim they are good!!
Okay, thanks tembo. I don’t quite know what you mean by 4-6 hours to clear the middle of the eyebrow. Are you saying, you were told that it would take one 4-6 hour session to clear the middle eyebrow? Or was it something like 4-6 hours spread out over a year to finish the middle eyebrow. You could never work on that area 4-6 hours.
It is always advised to find someone local, since electrolysis requires a series of treatments. I’m confident you will find the best option for yourself and be hair-free someday. Peace be with you.
