Laser hair INDUCTION

Okay, so this may be an overstated topic in Hairtell, but i was trying to find some posts regarding induced hair growth with chin and neck hair. If there are any threads that are addressing this issue, please link below if you know any!

I have been advised by electrolysis and laser clinics to go ahead with laser treatment. I need to do my chin, and neck, and perhaps later in the future my stomach and aureolas. Pictures can be found in this thread. http://www.hairtell.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/112813/2.html

I was told by the last laser specialist that laser does not induce hair growth, however, I’ve been told otherwise and i honestly feel the latter is correct. The hair seen in the pictures are more than it looks. Anyway, I’m scared for my face. Someone on this forum has said that female faces are prone to induce hair growth after laser, but i would like to get a discussion going as to why? Im trying to make an educated decision of whether to go with electrolysis, laser, or a combination of both (do people even do that?)

thanks,

Lilly

You don’t have hair that can be treated by laser effectively on your chin and neck. Laser is only good for a permanent reduction. It wont get rid of everything.

Laser may cause induced growth. It wont in everyone but it has in some cases.

Go for electrolysis. Laser and electrolysis would not be a useful combination, as you have to shave the hair off for laser and it would take quite a while to grow the hair out for electrolysis.

Your biggest hurdle is finding someone who is competent enough to treat your hair. I think that is where you should focus your energy! Goodluck!

Thank you Emilily! i am having a hard time finding someone who isn’t just plucking me. =[. Thank you for the encouragement! I’ve made my decision to continue to look for an electrologist and not a laser tech. This forum helps SO SO MUCH!
