electrolysis uses electricity. it is conducted by a needle that is injected straight into the hair root.
laser uses a laser - light. it gets absorbed by the hair.
both are expensive. i think that electrolysis is better and safer on small areas, but you might want to consider laser for large areas (like back and legs).
