I have booked a consultation at Renew Medica. They said it takes up to 45 minutes. That seems ages but I look forward to it!
My appointment has been rescheduled but I shaved a part of my legs last week so I can examine the hair.
What’ve found is that they are thin (as in not as coarse as bikini and underarms) but there are a few odd hairs that are like underarm haie (coarse).
So maybe laser won’t be for me?
The only way you will know is to have a test patch.
Have a test patch wait for shedding, then if you want to be sure, wait for 3 months to see how much hair comes back. You should be able to see a visible difference as compared to the surrounding area.
Oh yea, that makes sense. My consultation is on Tuesday now. The appointments are so long in comparison to electrolysis!
Sounds like they’re jerking you around, never heard of anything like that before. You should be able to make a consultation walk in and be done in 5-10 minutes it doesn’t take that long. Also to the above post I’d check to make sure you have good shedding from the test patch to judge if you think they are doing a good job. You won’t see much noticeable difference from just 1 session compared to the areas around it, it usually takes 2-3 to sessions to really see a difference.
I usually try to give consultations a full hour because first time people usually get lost or have no idea what they want and sometimes even want to start the treatment same time rather than coming in again. I’m pretty sure most places would also save quite a bit of time for new people, even though consultation can be over in 10 minutes.
The consultation will probably be 30minutes but they book a 45min slot just in case it takes a bit longer. They will spend about 15mins explaining everything to the client. Then give a consent form which has to be read and signed. Then take them to another room for a test patch, which can take more than just a few minutes if more than one are is to be tested.
edokid, I think you will find that any reputable clinic in the UK will have you book a consultation, ihavehair changed it herself too.
This clinic in particular is usually booked back to back for Laser treatments and you have to call a good time in advance for longer treatment sessions.
Also, after 1 treatment there was a massive reduction in my leg hair. Most of the reduction came from that first treatment. Most of my lower leg was ‘done’ after 3 treatments. The same for LAgirl. ihavehair should see that it is at least working after 1 treatment even if she doesn’t get the same kind of reduction.
Just to add, treatments don’t usually take as long as they book you in for - again, this is a precautionary measure. I think a bikini thong treatment is 30-45mins booking time but in reality takes more like 20mins.
