Laser and electrolysis at the same time?

Hi, this is my first post here. I am, like many of you, a very hairy woman lol. In the past I have done 130 hours of blend electrolysis on my face and I still have to shave daily (I only shave my moustache, chin, and neck because the rest of my face is not too dark, but I still want it all gone). COVID happened and I had to stop electrolysis. I decided to start up again, and I happened to find a place near me with 450 excellent reviews with basically almost entirely 5 stars. They happen to do both laser and electrolysis. I had one laser session on my body so far but wanted her to stay away from my face because I was paranoid about paradoxical hypertrichosis. She said she alternates every 3 weeks with laser and electrolysis on people’s faces and she gets results much faster and cheaper than just plain electrolysis or laser. She also said no one has every told her they had gotten paradoxical hypertrichosis and that she has been doing this for 30 years. I have never heard of alternating like this before. I am wondering if this makes sense and if I should I trust her.

Hello Welcome by Hairtell =).

I think, first is Important to know. What do you have Exactly ?.

i mean , the reasons why you have Hair growth can be different.

  1. PCOS
  2. I dont know how it call , but by female and male peoples arround age 30+. You get weird Hairgrowth, by Mom have it , like you get some dark hairs on Overlip /chin/proparly throat and so far. Maybe you got this?. by Male peoples on Ears/Nose hairs .Let call it Hormonal change or so.
  3. Trans*
  4. Other reason

But to your Question, that Electrolysis and Laser is Possible to the same time, i can tell you 100000000% Yes.

Here even friends of me , did it also trans peoples and so far.

But its possible and necessary because 1 reason. The reason is if you have Grey/White Hairs.

Normaly Peoples start a Laser session , they wait than arround 3 weeks, within the Hairs fall out.
And than they do by Grey Hairs /Hairs :Electrolysis .

But the reason is , why you do both to the same time. If you dont do it, you waste time. You have Hair cycles. If you would do for example on face 8-10 Apointments like kinda 8-10 Months . And than Electrolysis. You need to finish kinda 2 Years. Because the grey hairs from All Hair cycles, need to grow again. And that need time.

Also a other reason is depends on Laser /Skin and so far it can reduce your Hairs by 92-96%. So some hairs would stay . So you can finish with electrolysis.

And Cheaper…depends so far.

I can tell you , from my Own Experience. Better let do Laser by a Expert , if you can . Go to a Dermatologist or a Clinic who Offer Laser . But from own Experience even Lasers have much differents. You should avoid Cosmedic Studios. Or at least the bad one. You can burn there you Money and Proparly end with more hairs than before.

Unfortunately my hair growth is all genetic. Got checked for PCOS in middle school. Not trans either. just always been hairy lol.

Thats bad luck , i know also some female peoples. Who have Hairy cheeks like fine hairs on them at this since 14+ (Age).

Its the thing , if its much Hairs and you dont went to spend XX.XXX USD/EURO/PFUND and so far for Electrolysis , really you should combinate .

But Speak with a Dermatologist, how i sayed . It exist some at least hjere in Germany even real Laser clinics. They do Really all what you can do with Laser , like Laser eyes , treat skin , hairremoval and so far. If you cant find it , look for a Good Studio , but should be the last choice, but let me tell by Doctors you pay Proparly more. Here for Facial hairs , full Beard you pay in Studios like 120-160 Euro. By Doctors 160-200 (Each session). You need Proparly 6-8 , in worst case 10/12 .

But by a doctor is the risc you end with more hairs , than before very low.

Try upgrading your English usage with these simple rules.

Do not capitalize all nouns. First word in a sentence, yes … but that’s it.

Never use the word “Peoples” … ONLY use “people.” “People” is already plural.

“Proparly” is spelled “properly.”

It’s “I” … not “i” in English.

As a professional electrologist in practice for nearly 40 years, I felt it was important to share this piece of information with all of you.
Since laser was introduced in 1997 as far as I know there haven’t been any clinical studies conducted on Light, laser therapy, and if it may stimulate hair growth. In 2014, Sunil Kalia, M.D., F.R.C.P.C. conducted the first clinical trial at the University of British Columbia. Here are his findings. https://www.dermatologytimes.com/view/light-laser-therapy-may-stimulate-hair-growth
