Just need reassurance that this is normal?!

Hello everybody,
I am a 23 year old girl, who has suffered from excessive chin and neck hair. I had light hair before I did laser, but once I started doing laser it made the hair so much worse, thicker and darker. So I just started doing electrolysis and I have been doing it for a month now. Almost once a week for one hour sessions. My electrologist seems very good so far honestly, she’s very clean, very thorough, uses a huge magnifying glass and takes her time. I just need some advice or reassurance that my reaction to electrolysis is normal. I also want to mention that I did electrolysis between my breasts and because I left that area for 3 weeks now — since it isn’t as important as my chin and neck — the area is completely back to normal. Now my issue is, I have been treating my chin and neck weekly, so I’m not giving these areas time to heal. But is this reaction normal? Or do these look like over treatments?
Thanks in advance! Need some advice!!

I dont see any serious cause for concern.

Thank you so much for that

Agree that this is typical. Don’t pick the scabs! I have some skin care tips here:

Thank you Andrea. I have been giving the skin time to heal, using aloe vera, and an antibiotic. Its finally looking much better.

hey yo you’ll be just fine if you wanna be sure do the one thing I know personally works for all kinda stupid shit I’ve done to my face by picking and haven’t a scar to show go get some of the polysporn with the 3 antibiotics and the pain relief it numb everything so you don’t pick it can be a little greasy but it is gonna help you heal and you don’t need much add also you can just put some powder makeup over it or baby powder to hide the shine just a pea-size bit spread over your face will heal everything and do away with acne if you have any and minimize any scarring and it makes your skin moist and healthy granted your not allergic to sulfur

Hi Marah,

I would not be concerned at all. Your skin should recover with no sign of the treatment being done. The tiny pin point scabs are a natural response by the body .Their job is to protect the treated area from infection and allow the area to heal. The scabs should be left alone ,it is such a minor irritation your body can heal itself. Do not pick or remove the scabs and no scrubbing.

Yes, it is normal. Do not rush though, allow two weeks in between. Electrolysis is not a fast solution, it is a STEADY solution. So allow it a time:)
