Hey I just had my second back and shoulders session with Gentlelase at 18mm/20J settings. Im just wondering why my back isnt NEARLY as swollen or iritated as last time? Does this mean she didnt do the treatment well and rushed me? especially around my neck and shoulder area some hairs are still sticking out a little like a day after you shave you know? whole area looks kinda red but it does not look bad at all. I had good results after my first session, however after my first session my back was a mess of swollen follicles and very very red and lots of whiteheads the following morning. this is much milder.

The first treatment is always the worst (in pain and red irritated skin) With every treatment the hair become less and less dense (meaning less pain and less irritated skin). On the shoulders usually the hair is not that dense and its not painful.(At least with me was like this). Settings are very good. If you believe she rushed you and missed some spots, go back for touch up.
If you just had the treatment and some hairs are sticking out - means that she missed spots.
what i mean by sticking out is not like the whole hair is actualy there im talking like very vrey little like light stubble like the day after shaving?
Most probably is the dead hair coming out.
even the same day? doesnt take a couple weeks to shed?
Some hairs are ejected from the follicle immediately. Others can take up to three weeks to shed. And some are ejected just a bit and appear as what your are experiencing now.
the hairs that are coming out of the skin are not falling out if i try to pluck them theyre still stuck in dont feel like theyre loose to shed and fall out. :S
also is shedding supposed to BEGIN a day or two after treatment or does it only start to shed after the first couple weeks?
When shedding begins is unpredictable. As I said, some may be ejected during the treatment, and the others should shed during the following three weeks. So hairs can start to shed a day or 2 after treatment or they can wait and start to shed a couple weeks later. Don’t worry about when it begins, just that it does happen within a month.
The walls of the follicle will hold on tight to some of the hairs while they are shedding. Your body will eject them. It’s a natural process that is happening all over your body daily with or without laser.
