Is this overtreatment for Electrolysis?

This is day two and I’m a mess. I don’t know if this is normal. My electrolysis who is a cpe says she this is normal. I am crying though cause I feel horrible.

It looks a little rough. If you were my client, I would take this is a sign that I need to change my approach. I don’t think there’s anything here that I would consider highly concerning yet, but let’s see how it heals within the next two weeks.

With a treatment this strong, you should expect some scabbing for up to two weeks post-treatment. Make sure to not tear or rub the scabs off. Soap and water are fine for cleaning the area, and you can continue to use moisturiser. I would not use any chemical or physical exfoliants until the scabs are gone.

I totally agree with you Thermo.

Sunflower, this is treatment beyond necessity, but it will heal. This scares clients and your electrologist should take another approach. I doubt that you will scar. Take good care of it and don’t repeat. Allow it to completely heal. Don’t give up on electrolysis.

Consumers think that the initials CPE means that this kind of skin reaction should not happen, but unfortunately that isn’t always true.
