I swear I can get a treatment done every 2 days. Is it normal for that much growth to come out after a treatment on my eyebrows? She always clears the area each treatment so its not like those are leftover hairs. I’ve had 4 treatments so far on that area.
Oh, you are just beginning this. Were you tweezing before? Has she showed you full hairs that she has removed from the bulb to the tip? Just be patient. Communicate your concerns to her so she can teach you along the way. If you started with a lot of hair that you had been tweezing almost everyday, you probably have a lot of hair.
Yeah I was tweezing before. I’ve stopped since starting treatment. Yeah I see the bulb on the hairs she pulls out. After every session I have tons of hairs that fell on my face and I clearly see the bulb. She did mention I have a lot of brow hairs. She even said, wow I can see the hair growing underneath.
Well, I know what she means when she says that! You can see little dots of color under the skin and that means more hair to come! Please be patient. This is all normal. Give her a chance to do her thing. Remember, the first six months is the hardest. Have faith and believe! Stay close to her with a good schedule. Are you healing well?
Yeah I knew it would take a while but I was like…omg is it supposed to grow this fast?? I heal very well. I don’t seem to have any redness or anything. Maybe I do have it but I can’t tell. The only thing I notice is if I accidentally rub my eyebrows I feel a bit of discomfort. Other than that I don’t really notice anything. I’m getting my cheeks done as well and same thing. No redness that I can notice.
it has taken me a year of electrolysis to obtain great results on my huge black manly pathani monobrow. it was thick long shiny hair, but then very gappy, growing down to my eyelids, up on my forehead and fanning out in the middle like madonnas but then way more unruly, hair growing upside down, left, right, outward, what a mess! and then in between my brows was like a garden, same thick hair growing vertically. if they were really dense and growing in harmony with each other i would have kept them bigger. now they are sorta this shape http://letterstorob.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/camilla-belle.jpg but then half as thick unfortunately, and less dense.
in the beginning, like you after a day or so hair would be growing in, and would be left with lots of black dots after treatment, which was the hair under the skin that was not long enough to treat yet. in fact my whole eyebrow area was grey, because there was always so much hair underneath at any given time.
when i used to pluck i would have to do it at least twice a day if i wanted smooth tidy brows, they grew in that fast. even so, they still looked awful because of black hairs under the surface.
i would say the greyness went away after about 3 months, after 8 months i saw real progress, and now at 12 months there are only about 3 thick hairs right now, about 25 very fine ones, and a few dark fuzzy ones. think i can now get done in 15-20 min sessions instead of 45s.
i tried to find a picture to compare by typing huge eyebrows into google but nothing came close! ive also rarely seen anybodys who came close- except my father, and mine are worse than his. AND im a girl. so sit tight. if it can work for me, it can work for anybody!
its very cathartic for me to talk about it, i have come a long way that now i actually CAN discuss or even READ about hair on this forum. feels SO good to be dealing with it instead of constantly putting up with it.
Big hugs to you miss M. No one can offer more support to another poster than one who has lived this. THANK YOU for telling your story.
