Is this due to bad settings/treatment?

Please advise!

I had 2 treatments (thermolysis) that have resulted in hyperpigmentation in the deeper layer of the skin, as you can see, it looks likea a green-ish shadow/mustache. It’s been more than 3 weeks since the last treatment so all scarring have healed, I have also been using sun screen and followed the after care recommendations. But now I realise that this might be due to the electrologist using to much heat/power, is that the case here?
Is this a permanent damage? Please help

Hyperpigmentation is unavoidable to some extent on people with olive or brown skin tones. Hyperpigmentation from electrolysis is not permanent. It tends to improve as you continue your treatments and fade entirely in the months following your last treatment. In rare cases where the hyperpigmentation is particularly bad, it can take more than a year to completely resolve, but it always resolves naturally. In your case, the reaction is so minor that it’s not worth worrying about at all.

There is really nothing in your picture to indicate that the electrologist used inappropriate settings for the treatment.

Based on the photo you provided you have no valid claim that you were scarred by electrolysis. Scarring is permanent skin damage which I do not see. You might have very slight hyperpigmentation which is a normal and temporary part of the healing process for some clients, but you were not scarred by electrolysis.
