Is there a difference between laser and plucking?

Hello,

I’m sure this question has been asked before, but I was unable to locate any information. I know electrologist say never to pluck hair because the hair becomes much harder to treat due to greater blood supply, etc… However, what is the difference with laser hair removal. Is this type of removal going to create a greater blood supply as well; also possibly creating a greater degree of difficulty removing the hair by electrolysis? Of course, I’m taling about hair that is not treatable with laser. The hair that just keeps coming back regardless how many times you treat it with laser. I thought this was an interesting question and I know plenty of you folks are full of knowledge, so shed it!

Thanks,

Mike

both electrolysis and laser work by heating up the follicle, so it’s completely different from plucking and this doesn’t apply.

Mike, are you asking if electrolysis or laser can induce hair growth? Are you asking if ineffective treatment can actually make treatment more difficult? Please rephrase your question as I too am a bit confused.

if Arlene is right and this is what you’re asking, the answer I guess would be it could be more difficult to treat with electrolysis IF lasering it is making it more and more coarse. if it’s not doing that, then i don’t think it makes any difference (except wasted money i guess)
