I came across this video, and… Has anyone EVER seen electrolysis done this way. It looks hilarious and scary.
This method is called multiple galvanic electrolysis. Yes, when I used to use the machine a lot of my clients used to comment on how scary it looked, but is still very effective in removing hairs permanently only downside was it was to slow.
Yes, this method works. It is galvanic only electrolysis so it is very slow, four minutes per hair. It is the original way electrolysis was performed in1868, but it was done with a wet cell battery and a sewing needle. The big difference today is the equipment used is wildly different. Ruthie is using a digital Gentronics that offers microflash, blend and galvanic only. It offers the best all modalities offered under the umbrella term called “electrolysis”. I used this epilator from 1999 to 2003 and still have it though I have not used it. I really should sell it.
I could never work this slow. It is a highly effective method, but clients do not like laying very, very, very still so the probes don’t fall out, something that needs to be done with multi-probe galvanic. This method should not be discouraged, but now, in 2011, we can effectively destroy tough chin hairs with a single probe, using a high tech thermolysis of blend mode in less time without all the wires hanging over ones head.
If I were a consumer that wanted this method done on my chin hairs, I would want it done by this practitioner using the digital Gentronics. She appears very proficient and efficient at what she does.
