Is my electrologist doing a good job?

Hello, I have been consistently going to my electrologist since July and I’m seeing progress, but a slower rate than I hoped. The woman I’ve been going to came highly recommended. The hair on my sideburns have definitely lightened but my chin still has very course hair. I’m not sure what machine she uses, but a little while after she inserts the needle, it makes a beep sound and then she tweezes the hair. I always assumed the beep meant it hit the root, but I still feel a slight tugging on the hairs. I recently went to another woman for a consultation and she didn’t have a machine that made that beep noise. She held the needle for much longer and I never felt any tugging. Is a slight tug normal so should there be no tugging whatsoever. Also, both women use the blend method so I figured the needle sensation and hair removal should feel similar

You are at month three-four in a 9-18 month game plan. You will see coarse hair on your chin for several months because the growth of hair is ongoing, coming forth in a …drip…drip…drip… manner. Do not fear or fret, this is how it is suppose to be. You have to be patient and consistent with your appointments to get new hair that appears over a 12-18 month period.

There should be no tugging of hair or the hair may have to be retreated in a couple months.

Forget that beep noise. It means nothing to you as the client. A beep does not mean that the hair follicle was successfully disabled. With blend, the caustic lye continues to work in the follicle for a little bit and that is advantageous.

The electrologist who gets a smooth release would get my thumbs up.
